Privacy policy

Eres Mi Tipo is a blood donation coordination app published by GhostWorkers. It connects people who need blood transfusions with willing donors. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what it never does. Eres Mi Tipo does not serve ads and does not include analytics or tracking SDKs.

Account and sign-in

Eres Mi Tipo requires an account so donation intents, reports, and coordinator confirmations belong to someone real. You can sign in with an email magic link, Sign in with Apple, or Google sign-in. We store your email address and the sign-in identifiers provided by Apple or Google. If you use Apple’s private email relay, we store the relay address Apple gives us.

Profile

A display name is optional. If you provide one, it identifies you to coordinators and organizations you interact with. You can change or remove it at any time.

Location

Sharing your device location is optional and the app works without it — you can always pick a location manually on the map. When you grant location permission, your device position is used to show nearby donation requests and sort results by distance. We do not track your movements or build a location history.

Blood donation activity

To match donors with requests, Eres Mi Tipo stores the blood-type preferences you set, donation requests you publish, your intents to donate, donation reports you submit, and coordinator confirmations of those reports. Only donate if you meet your local blood service’s eligibility rules: Eres Mi Tipo does not determine clinical eligibility, collect medical records, or give medical advice. The collection facility you attend makes every eligibility decision.

Notifications

With your permission, we send push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) about requests that match you and the state of requests you follow; FCM delivery is governed by Google’s privacy practices. We also send transactional email, such as sign-in links and account notices, to your address. You can turn push notifications off in your device settings.

Payments

Eres Mi Tipo is free for donors, individuals, and organizations. Hospitals and associations can optionally claim their public venue page with a one-time payment. Payments are processed by Stripe; GhostWorkers never sees or stores your card number. Stripe handles payment data under its own privacy policy.

What other people see

Your participation is private by default. Donation intents and reports are visible to the coordinators responsible for the request you answered — not to the public, not to other donors. Public venue and request pages show aggregate totals only, such as the number of confirmed donations, never the identities of donors.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account and donation activity while your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing us; aggregate totals that no longer identify anyone may remain.
